This is an actual necklace. The design is the actual typeface printed in plastic with the name of the typeface. I think the redundancy of the whole thing some how works. The design of the typeface and the combination of the 2 words creates a pretty interesting picture The choice to leave the plastic black was probably strategic and done on purpose. The reason for my thinking that is that the name Avant Garde brings the image of darkness and Renaissance to mind when I say the name. The designer was pretty genius when thinking about the design of everything.This image can be found here.
